Do you need a full-body photo for the Rumpelstiltskin AI video?
No. A clear, front-facing photo with your whole face in the frame is enough, so a good selfie works; show your upper body if you can. You don’t need a full-body shot: the video dresses you in the original costume, so your clothes don’t matter. Use one person per photo, as a JPG, PNG or WebP up to 10 MB.
One photo, and you star in your own tip toe video
You play the little man in a 12-second video with AI-generated sound, usually ready in about 13 minutes. Halloween with family or friends? Add a second photo next for the woman in the hay.

Photos that work best
- Facing the camera, with your whole face in the frame
- Even light: daylight from a window works
- One person: crop out anyone else
- The original photo, not a screenshot
Photos that give weak results
- Sunglasses, masks or heavy filters
- A side angle
- A small face in a group shot
- A screenshot or a photo of a screen
It doesn’t look like me: what to do
- Check the photo against the lists above: a side angle, sunglasses, a filter or a small face in a group shot gives the AI less of your face to work with.
- Pick a different photo: sharper, straight-on, in even light.
- Generate again. Each render is a new video, and a different photo can fix a flaw the first one had.
A video goes back to your balance automatically when it fails or is blocked. A video that rendered successfully is used up, even if you don’t like the likeness, so pick your best photo first. Signed in with Google? Check the faces in a free preview before you pay.
What happens to your photo
Photos are deleted automatically 60 days after upload, or 7 days after upload if you don’t use them to make a video. We never train AI models on your photos or videos, and you can delete them sooner from My videos. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
FAQs
Can I use a selfie?
Yes, if it’s sharp and front-facing with your whole face in the frame. Your clothes don’t matter: the video keeps the original costume.
Do I need two photos?
No. One photo replaces one role, and the other stays as in the original clip. Two photos cost the same as one. See two people in one video.
Can I use photos of celebrities or other people?
Only people who agreed to be in the video, famous or not. A tip toe remake is a joke format: don’t pass it off as something the person really did, and don’t use it to pretend to be them.
